![]() We had to wait for a BSA extractor that could read the new Skyrim SE BSA v2 archives but it arrived just recently, grab that here: (Credit therefore to johndoebowler at for that info which lead to my fix for Skyrim SE.) I found this guide pertaining to Fallout 4 UI editing and this is what I used as a place from which to start. I thought, do the Fallout 4 owners have the same issue so I started searching, apparently they do (Bethesda, do you really not like 21:9 monitors?). I found out how to do this when I heard (read) that Skyrim SE was updated to the Fallout 4 Game Engine. I am also not sure how well it will play with mods that overwrite UI elements, logic tells me they will overwrite these custom UI files and therefore break it again, will have to wait and see. I am simply editing the SWF files included in the interface.bsa file to correct the layout ratio so the UI elements in general are displayed on the screen, this does not also automatically prolong interface elements such as bars etc. I know some of the UI elements such as bars don't run the full length of the screen, that I am looking into but not sure what i can do as I'm not an artist nor do I have much experience with this. Most of the info on the panels should be visible.Īs I have not yet played much there might be some screens or info missing, if you notice anything let me know (with a screenshot).Īlso, this has been only tested by myself on 2560x1080 so those 3440x1440 users, fingers crossed this works for you (confirmed by several that it does). Note that this is my first time modding ever so consider this really early alpha quality and I am releasing just so that people can see something on the most commonly used panels. He/she has done a few more screen fixes than I have but also seems to have a lot more play time in Skyrim judging by his level which is a bonus. The end result will be the same because there is really only one method for fixing now anyhow. When I tested it he was on v1.3 and it was working fine, just the same. I will leave my original post below but go ahead and try out his version. If another author is doing the same thing and wants to keep it up and maybe even do a more thorough job all the better. I only did this to help out the community in general as I'm not into the game right now, I have several others I want to finish first. I want to point you specifically to a mod I have tested myself made by "Daisuke".Īs of this writing the author has also fixed not only the ratio of the screens but various elements too such as bars to make the presentation more complete and correct. There are other authors who have also released 21:9 fixes over on. įor tabbedinventorylists.Do NOT use my mod but instead read the prologue section carefully to find out where to get an up-to-date fix for SSE. Right-click and remove the whole sprite and then save the file, as outlined in step (4) and (5) in the previous procedure.Expand "sprites" directory and find "DefineSprite (58:SearchWidget)".Open inventorylists.swf following step (1) of the previous procedure.Inside "Interface\skyui" folder in SkyUI archive you'll see two relevant swf files: inventorylists.swf Magicmenu.swf - Sprite 12(MagicMenuObj) > Object 11(skseWarning) Inventorymenu.swf - Sprite 13(InventoryMenuObj) > Object 12(skseWarning) I've listed their respective SKSE Warning location below -Ĭontainermenu.swf - Sprite 15(ContainerMenuObj) > Object 14(skseWarning) Repeat the steps for inventorymenu.swf, containermenu.swf and magicmenu.swf. At the bottom you'll notice an object labelled "PlaceObject2(12) Depth: 9 (skseWarning)" Expand it and under "frame 1"* you'll see a bunch of objects with green " " icons next to them. ![]() Click "sprites" and navigate to "DefineSprite (13:BarterMenuObj)" On the left-hand side you'll see a tree directory. You'll be greeted with a prompt - just click "No to all" Inside "Interface" folder in SkyUI archive you'll see 4 swf files: bartermenu.swf Note that this modification changes nothing under the hood, it merely hides 2 out of the 3 annoyances from your view. We'll be dealing with (1) and (2) but unfortunately at this stage nothing can be done about (3). No doubt there are more elegant, non-destructive ways to do it but those are probably not so foolproof.įollowing up my status report, here's a quick and dirty guide to remove SKSE warning from SkyUI 2.2 and cut off its dead weight.Īs a preface - there are currently 3 main annoyances with SkyUI 2.2: This guide is intended to be foolproof and it does some destructive edit.
